Capable Team. Stalled Work.
Don’t you just hate it when a capable team works hard and projects still stall?
Decisions pile up. Meetings run long. Good people get frustrated, and the work lands back on your desk.
It’s not a people problem. It’s an energy problem.
Burnout is not always about too much. It is about too much of the wrong thing.
A Working Genius workshop gives your team a fast, practical way to see who should be doing what, and why work keeps getting stuck.
What Does a Working Genius Workshop Fix?
We see the same three gaps in almost every team we work with:
- A shared workflow. Working Genius maps how work actually moves, from idea to finish line. Your team sees exactly where projects get stuck, lost or bored.
- A shared language. Conflict shifts from blame to plain operational language. “That’s my frustration, not my genius” ends a lot of tension. Meetings and delegation start to follow strengths.
- Self-awareness that holds. Each person learns when they have something important to add and when they are likely to slow things down. High standards get easier to meet.
The workshop is fun. The team feels supported. But the real win is a team that holds itself accountable without you in the middle.
What Are the 6 Types of Working Genius?
The 6 Types of Working Genius® is a model created by Patrick Lencioni and The Table Group. It sorts all work into six types across three stages. Everyone has two geniuses (work that gives energy), two competencies and two frustrations (work that drains energy).
| Genius | What it looks like | Stage of work |
|---|---|---|
| Wonder | Asks the big questions and spots what could be better | Ideation |
| Invention | Creates new ideas and solutions | Ideation |
| Discernment | Gut-checks ideas and judges what will work | Activation |
| Galvanizing | Rallies people to get moving | Activation |
| Enablement | Jumps in with help and support | Implementation |
| Tenacity | Pushes work across the finish line | Implementation |
What Happens in a Working Genius Workshop?
Three steps. Each one is built for speed and focus.
- Kick-off and alignment. You meet 1:1 with Jamie to set goals for the session. Each team member completes the 15-minute online assessment and receives an individual report.
- Team workshop. Jamie walks your team through the model and the three stages of work, confirms each person’s results and builds your Team Map with you. Then the team analyzes a real project: where did it get stuck, lost or bored? The team leaves with new norms it has committed to.
- Debrief and follow-through. You debrief with Jamie on accountability and how to model the tool day to day. Optional 1:1 coaching helps each person lock in new habits.
You don’t get a report. You get a team that knows how to work together.
